New to electronic cigarettes?
If you’ve never so much as held an ecigarette before, this is the place for you.
Eliquid only contains these 4 ingredients:
- Propylene glycol (higher PG = stronger throat hit)
- Vegetable glycerin (higher VG = more vapour)
- High quality flavourings (blended to create our range of flavours)
- Nicotine (0-3%)
Propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) are responsible for turning the eliquid into vapour when heated by drawing in moisture from the atmosphere.
There are, however, key differences between the two, and because most eliquid contains varying ratios of PG, VG, and nicotine.
Propylene glycol is a thinner liquid and produces less vapour than vegetable glycerin, but it produces a better throat hit. Vegetable glycerin is much thicker, but it produces more vapour and a weaker throat hit. It also tends to be slightly sweeter in taste.
The standard eliquid blend is 70% PG and 30% VG. Not all eliquid ingredients are always completely agreeable to everyone, so it’s a good idea to experiment with the ratio of the mix in your pursuit of the perfect blend. A good place to start is definitely standard blend (70% PG & 30% VG) or 50/50.
Most liquids are available in a ratio of PG/VG with varying nicotine strength. The standard blend is 70%PG & 30%VG. Sometimes people can be a little intolerant to either PG or VG and so it’s up to the individual to experiment with the ratio of the mix. A good place to start is definitely standard blend (70%PG & 30%VG), or 50/50.
